Ensemble 150 is an Amsterdam-based collective that debuted in 2020, featuring prominent musicians like violinist Daniel Rowland, violist Lilli Maijala, cellist Maja Bogdanovic, double bassist Nicholas Schwartz, and pianist Anna Fedorova. Formed around the historic Studio 150 Bethlehemkerk, the ensemble brings together these accomplished soloists and chamber musicians, who are celebrated for their passionate and dynamic performances. Their repertoire spans beloved classical pieces, such as Schubert’s “Trout” Quintet, to daring contemporary works, exploring unique juxtapositions of classical and modern music styles.

The ensemble made a memorable first performance at the “Zomer in de Beurs” festival in Amsterdam, playing a diverse program that included Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Piazzolla, and others. They are noted for their rich, adventurous style, earning praise on Dutch radio, where they were described as “super-hyper soloists” for their vibrant interpretations.
