Ella van Poucke & Friends

Today's stream hosts the fabulous cello player Ella van Poucke.
Ella comes up with some great musicians to play Schubert's String Quintet in C major (D. 956, Op. posth. 163).
This piece of music was one of Schubert's last pieces before his death. It has been praised as "sublime" and "extraordinary" and is regarded as one of the finest compositions in chamber music. Instead of the more usual string quintet, this string quintet is composed for two celli.
