Today the second livestream collaboration with the Keep an Eye Foundation will take place. This time we welcome Marit van der Lei.
Marit van der Lei (1994, Eibergen) is a Dutch singer. Her warm and soulful voice arose from the inspiration of brass players like Branford Marsalis and Kenny Wheeler. This intrigue with brass players directed her to a instrumental way of thinking about sound, phrasing and composing.

Even though lyrics can have an added value for a vocalist, she more than ever finds lots of expression possibilities in wordless singing. This led in 2018 to her debut album "In Other Words", which was received with great enthusiasm.
